What is Active Learning?
Active Learning generally describes when teachers do not use one-directional lecture styles of education and instead try to create methods of study and education where students actively and willingly participate in class.

The Government (MEXT’s) Decision to Introduce Active Learning
At the end of of 2014, a MEXT committee concerned with Japan’s core education decided to vigorously implement active learning into the early stages of education (kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools) throughout the country. Because of the major considerations for change being made by the government, such as the abolishment of the National Center Test for University Admissions, some say that this is a kind of revolutionary change that only occurs once in every 50 years. Since it was founded in 1997, Active Learning Co. has been trying to spread the concept of active learning in Japan to everyone from babies to company workers, and have been researching places around the globe where active learning is currently being used. Active learning has been proven to be useful in innovative product development, developing human resources, company creation and more. This company has been practicing active learning for about 20 years, and have developed a methodology.
